FYI: Data on neurological symptoms of COVID-19

March 1, 2021

A new database is collecting information about COVID-19-related neurological symptoms, complications and outcomes, and effects of the disease on pre-existing neurological conditions.

Pediatricians are encouraged to submit information to the National Institutes of Health COVID-19 Neuro Databank/Biobank, which is maintained at NYU Langone Health. The NeuroDatabank is collecting information on adults, children and neonates with confirmed COVID-19 infection, and will assess outcomes among pregnant women and their babies.

De-identified information can be submitted via the web-based portal on neurological symptoms, comorbidities, disease course, complications, sequelae and outcomes.

The database also can be accessed by scientists for research studies on preventing, managing and treating neurological complications associated with COVID-19. Access the database at http://bit.ly/2M6CDXF.
