It is that time again—the American Medical Association has released the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) changes effective January 1, 2018. Practices can now begin to prepare for related changes to their processes for delivering, capturing, and reporting services affected by these changes. This article will provide a quick look at CPT changes that appear most likely to affect reporting of pediatric services. All changes will be implemented on January 1, 2018. Practices should continue to use their 2017 CPT references until that date.
