Yes. Critical care services are inclusive only of select procedures listed in the introductory text for each set of critical care service codes in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT). Codes for echocardiograms are not included in the list of services included in any of the critical care services. Time of separately reported services is not included in the time of critical care when reporting time-based critical care (99291, 99292).
