On March 9, 2021, updates were made to Current Procedural Terminology® (CPT®) evaluation and management (E/M) services guidelines via a technical correction. This correction is retroactive to January 1, 2021. This article highlights the changes that were made along with some American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidance for adhering to the revised guidelines. If you review a series of monthly fasting glucose test results ordered by another physician or other QHP, you get credit for 1 unique test. If you review external health records and 3 laboratory test results from 1 external source, you get credit for 1 unique review.
