The codes discussed in this article are not inclusive of all code changes for 2025 but rather include some that may be most applicable for services provided to children. Information may be subject to change prior to the implementation date. A significant 2025 change in CPT is the addition of distinct codes for reporting telemedicine E/M visits provided by audio-video telecommunication (98000–98007), audio-only telecommunication (98008–98015), and a brief visit for determining whether a more extensive service is required (98016). These codes are discussed in “CPT 2025: An Overview of Telemedicine Code Changes” elsewhere in this issue and will also be discussed in detail in upcoming issues.
