I am a general pediatrician performing hearing screening on infants using otoacoustic emissions (OAE) technology. I have had problems with reimbursement when I link Physicians’ Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code 92587 with V20.2 or V72.0. Should I be linking the code with another International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) code if I am performing these hearing tests as screenings at well-child visits?
