The June 2007 issue (Vol 2, No. 9) of AAP Pediatric Coding Newsletter™ addressed coding for hearing screening services. Since that time the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has updated the Hearing Screening Coding Fact Sheet for Primary Care Pediatricians. Appendix A of the fact sheet includes valuable information to assist pediatricians with denial management and negotiation for hearing screening services. Appendix A is reprinted here for your reference and use.
