The 2008 changes to Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) are effective for reporting services provided on or after January 1, 2008. Changes or revisions to existing codes or instructions are underlined, any text with a strikethrough indicates deletions, new CPT codes are identified with a circle (), and revised codes are identified with a triangle ().

Codes 95004, 95024, and 95027 have been revised to specify that the test interpretation and report performed by the physician are included in the code and cannot be reported separately. The 2008 guidelines are revised to indicate that when a significant, separately identifiable evaluation and management (E/M) service is provided on the same day of service as allergy immunotherapy, modifier 25 must be appended to the E/M service.
