Our office is trying to prepare for the implementation of International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM). Is there a book or listing of codes that I can use to help in the transition?

Yes. You can access the current ICD-10-CM codes online at www.cdc.gov/nchs/icd/icd10cm.htm#10update. Several vendors have published ICD-10-CM coding books, including Contexo Media (www.codingbooks.com) and Ingenix (www.ingenix.com). Keep in mind that the ICD-10-CM codes are revised, as are the ICD-9-CM codes, so if you order a reference book, make sure that it is current.
