Articles in the October and November 2013 issues of AAP Pediatric Coding Newsletter™ reviewed Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code changes for 2014 considered most relevant to pediatrics. This article will review additional CPT changes that will affect reporting of certain endoscopic procedures. The following changes are effective January 1, 2014.

Code changes described in this newsletter are presented using the format followed by CPT Editorial Panel meeting minutes. All changes or revisions to existing codes or instructions are underlined, and text that is struck through indicates deletions. New CPT codes are identified with the bullet symbol (), and revised codes are identified with the triangle symbol ().
