Yes. The inter-facility transport is not bundled into neonatal critical care services. Report codes 99485–99486, supervision by a control physician of inter-facility transport care of the critically ill or critically injured pediatric patient, 24 months or younger; includes 2-way communication with transport team before transport, at the referring facility, and during the transport, including data interpretation and report; first 30 minutes and each additional 30 minutes. Modifier 25 may be required by some payers to indicate this is a significant, separately identifiable service provided on the same date as the initial neonatal critical care. If face-to-face inter-facility transport care, 99466–99467, were provided on the same date as initial neonatal critical care services, this too would be separately reported.
