Category III (new or emerging technology) code 0615T was implemented on July 1, 2020 (prior to inclusion in Current Procedural Terminology®2021) for reporting eye movement testing in patients who have a head injury that may be a traumatic brain injury or concussion. This test is typically performed by clinical staff using an eye movement examination device. A report with graphs is generated and is interpreted by the physician or other qualified health care professional. Documentation of the report and interpretation should be included in the patient’s health record to support reporting of code 0615T.

Do not report 0615T in conjunction with vestibular function tests (9254092547).
