July 2025 Special Event
Focus on Allergies
Please visit the First 1,000 Days Knowledge Center throughout the month of July as we recognize World Allergy Day, and spread awareness about the importance of evaluating, diagnosing, and treating allergies in pediatric patients.
Throughout July, the First 1,000 Days Knowledge Center will be adding new allergy-focused content and features to the site, and highlighting existing great resources.
“Focus on Allergies” Special Module
A special module has been created collecting the key allergy information from the current modules, all in one place. You will have access to two complete allergy-focused modules, as well as allergy-related items from other modules.
New interactive content has also been added to the module, including:
● Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan
● Cow's Milk Allergy Signs, Symptoms, and Management Algorithm
● Presentation, Diagnosis, Management, and Prognosis of Cow's Milk Allergy in Infants
Pediatric Allergies Support Chart Access
During May, users will be given free access to the digital version of Pediatric Allergies: A Clinical Support Chart. This clinical resource provides clinicians with point-of-care guidance on the assessment and treatment of pediatric allergies in children of all ages, from infants to young adults. Tools cover food allergies, cow’s milk allergy, peanut allergy, anaphylaxis recognition, anaphylaxis treatment, and more

Food Allergies Highlights Webinar
A shorter, key-findings webinar has been created from Dr Victoria X. Soriano's presentation "Complementary and Allergenic Food Introduction in Infants: An Umbrella Review". In the video, Dr Soriano discusses her umbrella review on what age complementary foods should be introduced to infants, as well as the findings from the study.
“Question of the Week” Allergy Focus
During the month of July, all Question of the Week quizzes will focus on allergy content. For anyone who chooses to provide their name when taking the quizzes, a leaderboard will be posted to the website listing top scores throughout the month. Rankings will be ordered by number of correct answers, followed by quickest to answer.
We hope you enjoy the Focus on Allergies during July, as you continue your important work caring for children and their health.
