Upcoming Live Session: "Outpatient Follow-up Care of the Premature Infant" with Dr Tamara Kalhan, MD, FAAP | December 17, 2024 | 3PM EST

November 15, 2024

Please join the First 1,000 Days Knowledge Center community for our next “Ask the Editor” live session! These interactive online sessions allow you to hear directly from authors and editors of key AAP content about their research and recommendations, as well as to ask questions and engage with them in discussion.

Dr Tamara Kalhan will present recommendations for outpatient follow up care of the premature infant. She will review the recommendations and how to practically implement TIC in your setting. Formerly premature infants may need a wide variety of screenings, therapies, and specialists in the first few years of life to address conditions associated with prematurity. Dr Kalhan will address short- and long-term complications of prematurity, developmental surveillance, nutrition, vision and hearing guidelines, and more. Attendees will then engage with her in an interactive discussion about the guidance and other questions related to the topic.
