Please visit the First 1,000 Days Knowledge Center throughout the month of May as we recognize Food Allergy Awareness Month. The First 1,000 Days Knowledge Center will add new content and features to the site focused on food allergies, and also highlight existing great resources.

In addition, in celebration of National Nurses Week, throughout the month of May all nurses and nurse practitioners can review a free, two-month trial to the First 1,000 Days Knowledge Center, thanks to an educational grant from Mead Johnson Nutrition. Click here to sign up for your free trial

"Focus on Food Allergies” Special Module

A special module has been created collecting the key information about nutrition from the current modules, all in one place. You will have access to two complete modules related to food allergies, as well as items from other modules related to food allergies.

New interactive content has also been added to the module, including:

Food Allergy Risk Factors

Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan

Cow's Milk Allergy Signs, Symptoms, and Management Algorithm

Presentation, Diagnosis, Management, and Prognosis of Cow's Milk Allergy in Infants

Pediatric Allergies Support Chart Access

During May, users will be given free access to the digital version of Pediatric Allergies: A Clinical Support Chart. Food Allergies Highlights Webinar

A shorter, key-findings webinar has been created from Dr Victoria X. Soriano's presentation "Complementary and Allergenic Food Introduction in Infants: An Umbrella Review". In the video, Dr Soriano discusses her umbrella review on what age complementary foods should be introduced to infants, as well as the findings from the study.

“Question of the Week” Nutrition Focus

During the month of May, all QOW questions will focus on food allergy content. During the month, user results will be tracked, and a leaderboard will be posted to the website listing top scores of all who opt-in to provide their contact info, with a prize given to the winner.

We hope you enjoy the Focus on Food Allergies event during May, as you continue your important work caring for children and their health
