First 1,000 Days Knowledge Center is a new AAP online resource that provides pediatricians, residents, medical students, and other clinical professionals with essential guidance on the best practices for impacting health outcomes in the crucial first 1,000 days of a child’s life. Quickly get up to speed with essential AAP information including current policies, guidelines, and best practices—all accessible in one location on the AAP Publications site.
Find on-demand learning modules with content drawn from key AAP Publications along with guided learning provided by medical experts. Additionally, you’ll discover new interactive learning elements including monthly “Ask the Author/Editor” live sessions. You will also have access to NeoKit: Tools for Assessment and Care of the Newborn, which includes interactive tools for topics such as newborn exams, infectious exposures, circumcision, and more.
Learning modules cover topics such as:
- First Visits (0- to 6-Month Care)
- Delivery and Care of the Newborn
- Post-Discharge Care of the NICU Graduate / Late Preterm and Early Term Infant
- Social Determinants of Health
- Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID)
- Vaccinations
New modules will be added regularly, and modules will be continually updated as new policies and guidelines are published.
