The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Pediatric Trainees (SOPT) sponsors a clinical case competition annually for medical students, residents, and fellows. The case competition is open to all students and trainees in the USA or internationally. A poster symposium is held each year at the AAP National Conference and Exhibition (NCE) and is chaired by Anisha Bhatia Attawala (PGY-5) and Joshua Prudent (MS-4). Pediatrics in Review editorial board members and SOPT collaborate in conducting a formal review process of all submissions to select the top medical student, resident, and fellow abstracts.
