CATCH the Wave of Saying Thanks and Congratulations to the CATCH Program as Captured in a Special 25 Year Retrospective Article :

The Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) Program began in 1992, and since then has provided grant funding to 1,700 pediatricians through its 842 planning, 585 resident, and 305 implementation grants. CATCH has affected children of all ages and stages, from all cultures and environments, with a special focus on helping serve the underserved and overcoming those who suffer from some unfortunate social determinants of health. To call special attention to the amazing and outstanding work of CATCH, Oettgen et al. (10.1542/peds.2018-2551) have written a special article that captures 25 years of history in the CATCH program, and the outcomes and impact it has had on children, families, pediatricians and communities. The number of pediatricians who have and are still participating in CATCH projects combined with the outcomes achieved makes for a remarkable story and a great read.  If you haven’t participated in CATCH, this article should catch your attention and motivate you to at least apply for a CATCH grant on the next cycle in your state, so you can be included in future special articles describing the remarkable achievements that CATCH has accomplished, and perhaps with your participation in a CATCH project in your community—you will be part of those future accomplishments.
