The feedback we have received from readers over the past year or two has prompted our editorial board to brainstorm and innovate with some new and upcoming changes to our journal Pediatrics. Perhaps you’ve noticed the addition of a new section called “Family Partnerships” featuring articles written by patients and/or their families with their pediatricians about child health issues.
Perhaps you’ve discovered our postings on Instagram that change daily and have been picking up followers daily as part of our use of social medial to help you know about articles of interest. Did you know we are embarking on “video abstracts” in the year ahead? How about CME credit for those who review for us? We have many changes to share with readers and have summarized them in a commentary that we as editors of the journal (10.1542/peds.2017-3453) are early releasing this week, and that will be officially published in our January issue. We welcome your feedback on any changes we make or about any aspect of the journal you wish to share with us.
Feel free to share your comments with us via email, or even by responding to this blog or posting a comment with our commentary on our website. We look forward to continuing to evolve our journal so that it meets your ever-changing needs so as to provide the information you desire that can improve the health of your patients. Happy holidays and here’s to a great 2018!
