How to Claim ABP MOC Part 2 Credit in AAP CME Journals

By achieving a 60% passing score and completing the required number of quizzes from the yearly subscription, and claiming full credit for each quiz within a calendar year, you can claim MOC credits. Your CME and MOC credit must be claimed by 11:59 pm ET on December 31, 2025 in order to be added to your 2025 transcript. Please also note that the online versions of 2023 PREP and AAP Journals subscriptions will expire on December 31, 2025 and you will no longer be able to access content or claim credit for these products after the deadline.

Pediatrics in Review (PIR)

Subscribers can claim up to 30 American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2 points upon passing 30 quizzes (and claiming full credit for each quiz) per year.

By achieving a 60% passing score and completing the required number of quizzes from the yearly subscription, and claiming full credit for each quiz within a calendar year, you can claim MOC credits.

AAP Grand Rounds

Subscribers can claim up to 18 American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2 points upon passing 5 quizzes (and claiming full credit for each quiz) per year.

Important notes regarding MOC credit

1. The date that you complete the required number of quizzes will be the Earned Date that is recorded for the activity. Please be aware of that with regard to claiming.

2. CME quizzes must be met within the same calendar year for each journal subscription year to count towards the threshold, and must be within the CME eligibility period (3 years). For example, 2024 Pediatrics in Review could be earned by completing 30 quizzes in 2024; but quizzes completed in other years would not count towards the threshold; and MOC can only be claimed once for each journal year.

To claim your MOC points:

1. Log into the AAP Transcript system, either by

2. Search for your activities or use the filters to the right. You can expand each month using the links below to see which quizzes have been completed.
   
   
    
3. When you have completed the required number of CME quizzes (see above), within a subscription and calendar year, you will see an MOC link on the right side.
   
   
    
4. Confirm the correct ABP ID number on file with AAP; otherwise your claim won’t go through. Click Submit for MOC Credit
