Library Resources
AAP Publications resources for librarians, including usage reports, license activation, and user access.
Usage Reports and Statistics
AAP Journals, Books and AAP Point-of-Care Solutions including Pediatric Care Online, Pediatric Patient Education, Red Book® Online, and the AAP Pediatric Coding Newsletter are available at SiteManager.
Go to Silverchair SiteManager
Reports are usually available after the 15th of the month, reflecting the previous month's usage.
COUNTER Reports are available through the corresponding tab in SiteManager for all resources on the AAP Publications platform.
Other Reports provide a quick usage overview for platform-wide sessions, searches, and content views to cover non-book, non-newsletter content such as the Point-of-Care Quick Reference, Pediatric Drug Lookup, and Pediatric Patient Education handouts.
If you would like to use the SUSHI protocol to download the XML version of your COUNTER reports, please see instructions labeled “How do I use SUSHI to generate COUNTER Reports?” at the bottom left of the COUNTER reports page in SiteManager. This link will show you your specific Customer ID, Requestor ID, and Requestor API Key. On specific reports, you can show the SUSHI Link next to each COUNTER report.
If you have other specific reporting needs, please contact Institutions or Member and Customer Care.
Site License Activation and Administration
To manage your site license, you will need your organization’s administrator login credentials; for assistance, please contact us here.
- Log in to SiteManager, your site license administration tool.
- A detailed Institutional Administrator User Guide is available via a link in the lower right on your SiteManager screen.
- Click on Manage Access Options to enter referring URLs, a shared username/password, or Shibboleth/Open Athens information. Please submit IP address updates via the theIPRegistry.org. Once Approved, all IP addresses updates are received from theIPRegistry.org via API and automatically updated in SiteManager.
- If you are not familiar with IP addresses, please consult with your IT department for assistance.
- Useful Web sites for determining your workstation’s IP address include showmyipaddress.com and whatismyip.com.
- Note: IP addresses beginning with 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x or 172.16.x.x are internal IPs that cannot be used to communicate over the World Wide Web.
- Be sure to notate any/all Proxy IPs.
- If you are not familiar with IP addresses, please consult with your IT department for assistance.
Verify access by visiting the site(s) your institution subscribes to which you have purchased. You should be able to access all content and see your Institution’s name at the top of the page. If you need to login with a Username/Password, click “Login” at the top right corner. If you have a shared Username/Password from your Institution, select “Institutional Login”. If you are signing in with your own Individual AAP ID, select ‘Individual Login”. If you do not see your Institution at the top of the page, you are not on your institutional network. If you are the Administrator, contact us to help with troubleshooting.
You can also add a logo in SiteManager that will appear in the right column of the homepage for your users.
Viewing Content After Activation
Access to content is controlled by the values in the access options for your site license.
Users accessing from within your organization (via IP authentication) will not need to log in to view the full content.
However, users may choose to log in with their individual AAP Login credentials, to enable remote login, handout customization, and mobile app download – all included with your site license.
This can be done with an existing login, or by creating a new login from the Login link in the upper right corner.
Institutional users are required to log in from within the institution once every 120 days to verify the relationship to the institution is still valid.
