News & Highlights

Baby Formula Shortages (HealthyChildren.org): Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there have been significant shortages of infant formulas in some stores. Current shortages have been largely caused by supply chain issues and a recall of several contaminated baby formula products. Check with your local stores or online retailers about availability. To help ease the impact of shortages, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advises buying no more than a 10-day to 2-week supply of formula. (A new Pediatric Patient Education handout will be added to the online library. Download a preview now.)

Guidance on Providing Pediatric Well-Care During COVID-19: Guidance on the continued provision of health care, specifically well-child care and timely immunizations, for newborns, infants, children and adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 Vaccine Campaign Toolkit: Use the resources in this toolkit to share the message that the vaccine is safe and effective and encourage all children and adults to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it is available to them.
