The year 2009 has certainly been one of changes for Pediatrics. Although it seems we have just gotten started in our new editorial leadership roles, we have responded to feedback from reader surveys and studies, as well as to your correspondence. As a result, we implemented a number of innovations in this past year.

These changes included an entirely new design for our Web site and a new look and feel for the print journal. Other new features included online e-letters (letters to the editor), weekly early-release articles, and an editor's blog that highlighted interesting articles as they were early released each week. Our online traffic increased to more than 23 million hits, up more than 12% from last year, reflecting that the online version of Pediatrics is now the “journal of record.”
