An error occurred in this article by Baxter et al, titled “Development and Validation of a Pictorial Nausea Rating Scale for Children” published in the June 2011 issue of Pediatrics (2011; 127 (6): e1542–e1549; doi:10.1542/2010-1410). On page 1542, in the Abstract section under Results, starting on line 4, this reads: “Visual analog scales for nausea and BARF scores (P = .20) were significantly higher in patients requiring antiemetic agents and decreased significantly after treatment, while posttreatment pain scores (P = .47) for patients receiving only antiemetic agents did not.” This should have read: “Visual analog scales for nausea and BARF scores were significantly higher in patients requiring antiemetic agents (P = .0001) and decreased significantly after treatment (P = .0002), while posttreatment VAS (P = .20) and FPSR scores (P = .47) for patients receiving only antiemetic agents did not.”
