The author of this monograph is a clinical psychologist who for many years has worked with emotionally disturbed children and their parents in child guidance clinics and in private practice. She was one of the pioneers in the group therapy movement. In this book the author describes her experiences with over 100 groups of mothers who were seen once weekly for at least several months in order to help them gain better understanding of themselves as parents of children who are emotionally disturbed.
