This is the first book to be published in a new series entitled "Pediatric Surgical Monographs" edited by Mark M. Ravitch, M.D. This first volume is authored by Dr. Ravitch on a subject that has been one of his major interests.
Dr. Ravitch has done an excellent and complete job, covering all aspects of the problem of intussusception. He has emphasized early in the book the rarity of the condition, since many busy children's hospitals have relatively few cases each year.
