Today I received a copy of the Academy Newsletter and a publication entitled, Redbook's Young Mother, and I feel constrained to offer a few comments. Clearly the Academy's involvement in this venture not only implied the endorsement of certain products but also the rather extravagant claims made for them in the advertising found in this publication. In choosing an informative booklet for distribution to new mothers in the hospital, would it not be less confusing to offer one that did not have a dozen conflicting advertising claims for products alleged to prevent diaper rash?
