The article by Drs. Van Caillie and Powell entitled “Nasoduodenal Versus Nasogastric Feeding in the Very Low Birthweight Infant”(Pediatrics 56:1065, December 1975) represents a phenomenon all too common in the literature: investigation of an important question with inadequate numbers of patients and poor statistical control, resulting in conclusions based on insufficient data.
