In December 2009, the American Academy of Pediatrics determined that the following publication from the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) may be of educational value to its members: “Standards of Practice for Pediatric Palliative Care and Hospice.” The standards are available at: www.nhpco.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageID=5874.

All affirmations of value from the American Academy of Pediatrics automatically expire 5 years after publication unless reaffirmed, revised, or retired at or before that time.
