An error occurred in the article by Skinner AC et al, titled “Prevalence of Obesity and Severe Obesity in US Children, 1999–2016” published in the March 2018 issue of Pediatrics (2018;141[3]: e20173459; doi:10.1542/peds.2017-3459).

On page 3, under the Results section heading and Prevalence subheading, on lines 14–15, the text reads: “The prevalence of overweight and obesity increased with age, with 41.5% of 16- to 19-year-old adolescents having obesity and 4.5% meeting criteria for class III obesity.” This should have read: “The prevalence of overweight and obesity increased with age, with 41.5% of 16- to 19-year-old adolescents having overweight or obesity.”
