Errors occurred in the article by Berman-Rosa et al titled “Efficacy and Effectiveness of the PCV-10 and PCV-13 Vaccines Against Invasive Pneumococcal Disease” published in the April 2020 issue of Pediatrics (2020;145[4]: e20190377; doi:10.1542/peds.2019-0377).

The errors related to the referencing of specific studies in the text, tables, and supplemental tables and how some of the studies included in the review were described in the text. The major conclusions regarding the effectiveness of the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine were unchanged. This systematic review was not registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews.

In the Results section of the abstract, the sentence “Neither PCVs were found effective against serotype 3” was replaced with the sentence “The majority of studies did not find either PCV to be effective against serotype 3.”

On page 2, column 1, paragraph 2, the following sentence was added: “However, subjects vaccinated with PCV-10 showed a non-significant decrease in NTHi carriage in the year following booster vaccination.7

In the first sentence of the Methods section, “Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature” was added.

References were added and renumbered in the text and in Tables 1 and 2 and Supplemental Tables 3 and 4. A footnote (“d”) was added to Table 1.

The online article has been corrected.
