In the December issue of PIR (2:175, 1980) under "Galactosemia, Treatment" (p 180), it was stated that the infant should be given vitamin K, 1 mg intramuscularly twice a day. This should read 1 mg intramuscularly two times. Vitamin K should not be given for more than one day or it may increase jaundice.
