A 2,965-g girl is delivered to a 22-year-old gravida 2 para 0 mother at 39 weeks’ gestation with a history of 1 spontaneous early-pregnancy miscarriage. She had an uneventful pregnancy with normal prenatal ultrasonography findings. The infant is born via cesarean delivery due to maternal preference and is taken to the infant warmer to be warmed and dried. No additional resuscitation is necessary. In the delivery room the infant has a 4 × 3-cm solid mass on the anterior medial right thigh on physical examination. The mass is firm and mobile, nonfluctuant, and nonpulsatile. The overlying skin is normal, without discoloration (Fig 1). The infant does not grimace when pressure is applied to the mass. The distal foot is warm and well-perfused, with spontaneous and symmetrical movement and normal distal pulses.
