Pediatrics In Review Overview

Pediatrics in Review is a journal designed to help pediatricians and other pediatric practitioners to keep their clinical knowledge current.  Working in tandem with PREP Self-Assessment, the journal will address the complete spectrum of pediatric medicine in a cyclical fashion. Using materials supplied by the American Board of Pediatrics to define its core content, Pediatrics in Review will prepare readers for the cognitive examination that is a component of the Board’s Maintenance of Certification program.

A maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ is earned after achieving a 60% score on each designated quiz. An additional 40 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ are available with a subscription to PREP The Curriculum, and the Curriculum’s PREP Self-Assessment is approved for 20 points by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) for MOC Part 2: Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment.

This activity is approved for 30.00 points of MOC Part 2 credit by the American Board of Pediatrics. All approved activities must be completed by the MOC Credit Approval End Date. All deadlines and MOC point values should be confirmed by checking the ABP Activity Catalog within each physician’s ABP Portfolio.

Included in each monthly issue of the journal are three quizzes eligible for CME credits and MOC points. Complete 10 issues (30 quizzes) of journal CME credits, achieving a 60% passing score to begin claiming MOC credits through the AAP Transcript site as early as October of a given year.
