Ureaplasma urealyticum and Ureaplasma parvum Infections

The role of Ureaplasma species in human disease is controversial. There has been an inconsistent association between presence of Ureaplasma urealyticum and nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). Without treatment, the urethritis usually resolves within 1 to 6 months.
