The Red Book is published every three years, but advancements in medicine happen continuously. The Red Book Online platform provides the mechanism to update chapters between publication years when new recommendations are published by the American Academy of Pediatrics as Policy Statements, or by other national or international organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, or the World Health Organization.
