Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Mini Pastries
As of March 20, 2025, this outbreak is over.
The FDA and CDC, in collaboration with state, local, and international partners, are investigating illnesses in a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections linked to Sweet Cream-brand mini pastries manufactured in Italy and exported into the United States by Importations Piu Che Dolci Inc. of Quebec, Canada.

Pediatricians should be alert for the signs and symptoms of mpox in children and adolescents traveling from the Democratic Republic of Congo or a country where mpox is occurring in the last 21 days, or children who have contact with persons who have recently been in a country where mpox transmission is occurring. It was reported on November 16, 2024, that the first known case of clade I mpox in the US was diagnosed in California.
